Mr. Wang has built a career that straddles financial markets and government. He graduated with an MBA degree in International Financial Management from George Washington University (GWU) in 1992. Since then, Mr. Wang has been appointed by the China Foreign Expert Bureau as the financial expert to provide specialized financial training programs to Chinese government officials (CSRC), financial institutions and managers of Chinese state-owned enterprises in the United States. Mr. Wang also served eight years in the American Embassy in Beijing as administrative supervisor and three years in the United Nations Development Program Representative Office in Beijing as assistant financial officer for UN Aid to China.
Mr. Strohbehn is President of Strohbehn, Hall, Olson & Evans LLC, a private investment firm in New York. His experience on Wall Street has focused on developing international financial products and businesses and include positions at Merrill Lynch, Coutts Bank, Prudential Financial and Calyx Financial. With 25+ years on Wall Street, he has served in each of its major areas: an investment firm, a bank, an insurance company, and a hedge fund. Though his education is in mathematics, his experience has tended to be broadly based, covering the areas of management, new product & business development, investment advice, marketing, sales support and operations, in addition to his interest in quantitative models. He has developed more than 30 businesses and products, including several investment funds, as well as numerous quantitative investment models. He is currently writing a book on the shape of a new generation of financial institutions. His career has focused on international institutions, clients and distribution teams.
Mr. Barry is Co-Founder, CEO and Managing Director of Pegasus Global Partners. Pegasus Global Partners, founded in 1987, is a Supply Chain consultancy that has assisted clients, on four continents, reduce costs, improve operational efficiencies, and gain competitive advantage. Formerly, Mr. Barry was the Co-Founder and President of e-Time Capital, Inc, a financial supply chain services company that links disparate ERP and Supply Chain applications.
He is an internationally recognized expert in supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing systems, customer service, warehousing, transportation, procurement, and materials management, with over 35 years’ experience in industry, the military and consulting - for both the manufacturing and service sectors. He has assisted numerous clients to gain a competitive advantage from customer service, reduce the cost of transportation and distribution, realize purchase volume leverage advantages, optimize the utilization of assets and facilities, and implement strategic and operational plans to achieve overall business objectives.
Mr. Barry holds a Master of Business Administration degree (Finance) from Columbia Business School, Columbia University (1988) and a Bachelor of Arts degree (History and Economics) from Hunter College, City Universities of New York (1966).
Mr. James R. Shorter, Jr. is a partner and a member of the International and Tax Practice Groups in the international law firm of Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP. For over 25 years, he has concentrated on international and domestic business transactions including financings, joint ventures and investment transactions. He is a published author and frequent lecturer regarding international tax and investment issues. Mr. Shorter received his B.A., cum laude, from Columbia University in 1968 (where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa), his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1975 and his LL.M. (in Taxation) from New York University Law School in 1979. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and before the U.S. Tax Court.
